About this tool

A Unix timestamp counts seconds since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC. JavaScript and many APIs use milliseconds instead (13 digits). The converter auto-detects seconds, milliseconds or microseconds and shows the date in your local time, UTC and ISO 8601.

FAQ

Is my data sent to a server?

No. DevKnife tools run entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste — API keys, tokens, customer data — is transmitted or logged, so it is safe for production data.

What is the Year 2038 problem?

Systems that store timestamps as signed 32-bit integers overflow on 19 January 2038 at 03:14:07 UTC. 64-bit timestamps avoid the problem.
